Set in the beautiful Orotava Valley area, an oasis of lush, green landscapes, wildlife, tropical fruit plantations and traditional Canarian villages.
Things To Do
The Lago Martianez is a fantastic, post-modern swimming, sunbathing and leisure complex designed by the famous Lanzaroteno architect Cesar Manrique. Boasting unrivalled views of the Ocean and Mount Teide, Lago Martianez is a site of cultural interest, with a large lake surrounded by emerald pools and gardens; it offers entertainment for all ages. There are four swimming pools for adults and three for children, with sun beds and parasols, terraces, kiosks, restaurants and even a casino!
Lago Martianez can be seen from the Club Tarahal resort and is only a leisurely walk away.
There are many excursions and sightseeing tours of Mount Teide; from trekking to bus tours and guided walks to jeep safaris and cable car rides. Much of the park can also be explored by car.

Situated in La Paz, close to Club Tarahal, the beautiful, exuberant Botanical Gardens started life during the reign of Spain’s King Carlos III. He chose the climate of North Tenerife to grow exotic plants from the Americas and the Far East for his palace in Madrid. Today, the gardens are managed by the Canary Island’s Government and home to 1.5 million sub-tropical species.
La Laguna / La Orotava
The beautiful town of La Laguna lies in the Aguere valley at the foot of the Anaga mountain range and is considered to be the cultural capital of Tenerife.
The old town features elegant buildings dating back to the 15th Century, churches and stunning palaces. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking; driving up into the hills offers fantastic views and opportunities to walk or hike off the beaten track.
La Orotava is home to some of the most beautiful buildings in Tenerife, many of which are open to the public and feature carved balconies and interior courtyards.
La Orotava’s old town has been declared a Site of National Historic and Artistic Interest with its Renaissance mansions, baroque churches and formal Victorian Gardens.
Banana crops cover the hills surrounding the town with the majestic Mount Teide as its backdrop.
Located on the outskirts of Puerto de la Cruz, Loro Parque is just a short distance from Club Tarahal.
The park is most famous for its many parrots and is also home to dolphins, Orcas, penguins and a variety of endangered species from around the world!
